  • Our guide-interpreters
may accompany visitors on sight-seeing tours, cultural events or performances and suggest places which cannot be found in guide books. They may also help with practical advice about how to behave in situations which foreigners might not be familiar with such as at Japanese inns (ryokan), Japanese hot springs (onsen) etc. and how to interact with people in all kinds of situations.
  • Guides can explain to visitors how to use public transportation such as subways, buses or taxis. If you find making hotel reservations a hassle, or ordering food at a restaurant an ordeal, our guides can help you spend a more pleasant time by helping you doing these tasks or giving you good advice. Guides can even pick you up at the airport and bring you to your hotel.
  • Some guides might be experts in some specific fields (kendo, tea ceremony…) and might be able to offer you interesting insights.
  • If you are simply looking to exchange ideas you might enjoy a small chat in a coffee shop over a drink or a little stroll around town.
  • Some guides might be knowledgeable about specific services, such as private taxi services, specialized tours (pachinko tour, karaoke tour, …) or volunteering for tea-ceremony or kimono classes etc.
  • For more information, please check the guide’s profile section or contact us directly.
