- Although our guides are not career guides/interpreters, many of our guides have some previous guide experience and experience interacting with non-Japanese. Many of our guides have been living abroad, bringing with them different perspectives on culture and society.
- Our guides are not expected to be experts in art or historical issues. Guides help fulfill our goal of bringing people together and to assisting with practical help.
- We have guides of different ages, with different backgrounds and in different regions in Japan. Some of our guides are foreigners who have been living in Japan for a while and can give you specific views on Japan from the viewpoint of a long term resident.
- All guides have at least a basic command of one foreign language. Our guides will be delighted to use their language skills and to exchange ideas with people from other cultures.
