I really wanted to commend Yoshiko-san and the incredible times that she gave me, during the course of 3 separate days in Arashiyama, Kyoto and Osaka. Prior to my arrival, she assisted me in many things, answered all of my questions (this is my second time to Japan). She even shared some insights on Japanese life which were a revelation to me.

She introduced me in detail to Arashiyama, we visited the monkey park, took a trip down the river on the rowboat. She also arranged for her friends and myself (she was busy at the time) to see Osaka castle and the Takarazuka Revue (an all-women dance group north of Osaka), which was one of the most memorable highlights of this trip!

She was so gentle, patient, and caring with me, and I really do treasure her friendship. We have decided to keep in touch after this trip as well, even though it might be several years until I come to Japan again.

A day before I left Japan, I met her one final time - we had a nice chat over coffee, and then she took me down to the Daimaru’s food hall, and gave me her advice on some specific Japanese products that I wanted to get. This sort of advice was completely invaluable.

Yoshiko-san is the best tour guide I have had the pleasure of experiencing, she epitomizes every aspect of Japan that I have ever encountered, and her English is good too! I can only wish that all tour guides be as good as her!

Thank you again,

Rimon Rafiah
