Dear guides,

Happy New Year! Bonne année! Felicia Anno Novo!

Aitaijapan has in its the 7th year with all your kindness and hospitality towards our foreign guests.

In 2010, there were approximately 70 guides requests from North America ( Canada, the USA ), Australia, Europe ( UK, France, Italy, etc ) and Asia ( Malaysia, Singapore, etc ).

Looking back last year, it seems that the influence of the strong Yen might have reduced the number of guide requests since last fall. Regrettably, we have had some extraordinary weather, the global recession and international tensions these days.

However, I deeply wish for peaceful and happy cross-cultural communication, and I hope that we will get more visitors’ guide requests from all over the world.

Privately, I reconfirm the profound and complicated beauty of our Japanese culture through my guide activity. So not only has my English communication ability improved but I have also gained more knowledge of our culture.

I would like you to show your local site with your own guide style which nobody can find in the regular guide book.

Finally, please don’t forget to ask to your guests to send the visitors’ comments handout back to me, and also please send in your guide reports after each tour.

I wish you a Happy and Healthy 2011, and I hope that you will have a wonderful time through aitaijapan.

With best regards,

Yoshiko Nakakura
Aitaijapan.com coordinator
